Stepping Stone Genetics has signed on to be the primary sponsor on the Bill Smith owned 33, as well as, an associate sponsor on the Bruce Williams owned 7k. Robby cannot wait to get the racing season underway and has high expectations for 2012. Both the Smith 33 and the Williams 7k will be competing in the 410 Sprint Car divisions at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, SD and Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA, respectively.

As the son of racing legend Doug Wolfgang, you would think that Robby would simply follow in his dad's footsteps. But Robby's racing career actually started on two wheels rather than four. At the age of nine he started racing dirt bikes. As a young boy he displayed both extreme talent and determination, leading to regional championship titles and national competitions. For the next several years Robby traveled across the country, collecting numerous titles and competing against the best amateur motocross riders the US has to offer.

In 2008 Robby made the switch that so many race fans had been waiting for. Robby and his dad teamed up with car owner Loren Barstad, to get Robby behind the wheel of a 360 sprint car. Robby was able to transfer his motocross skills to the oval track and immediately demonstrated a natural talent for open wheel racing. With only 13 sanctioned races under his belt he brought home his first victory at Huset's Speedway on July 27, 2008.
