Robby Wolfgang introduced as the new driver for the 7K
The driver for the 7K Sprint Car for the 2010 Racing Season will be Robby Wolfgang. Robby will be racing weekly in the 410 Division at Knoxville Raceway and in both the 360 and 410 Divisions in select races in the surrounding area.
At only seventeen years old, Robby has eight years of racing under his belt and has already made a name for himself in the Motorcross arena with over 150 wins, and is now working to achieve the same success on four wheels instead of two. Robby has already driven to several wins in a 360 up north in South Dakota and hopes to transfer that success to the 410 division.
The 7K team welcomes DeeZee Manufacturing on board as a new sponsor this year. Info2go, Phillips Floors and WillCo Services will remain the other major sponsors. Parker Signs will continue as an associate sponsor. We welcome on board Butlerbuilt as a new associate sponsor for 2010. This year we will be running Charlie Fisher Engines and Wolfweld chassis, DMI components, HRP wings and Keizer Wheels. The 7K Team would like to thank Ken and Craig of Heartland Racing Engines out of Nevada, Iowa for stocking necessary supplies and for the use of their new dyno facility for engine testing.

1st Win in 2009 for Little Wolf
The Barstad Motorsports crew was all smiles Saturday night after claiming their first win in 2009 at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD. Robby charged from 10th starting spot aboard the Barstad Motorsports, Great Bear Ski Valley #1a Wolfweld. Little Wolf stole the lead from "The Iceman" Randy Droescher on a lap 16 restart and never looked back.
Robby said, "This win was amazing! After our 12th to 3rd run last night with the ASCS, I knew we'd be alright. The car has been great here all year long and I've been really comfortable with this track, so it felt like this one was coming. I just can't thank Loren Barstad and my father enough for all they are doing for me, as well as everyone else who has been supporting us."
Friday night saw Robby race to 3rd from his 12th starting spot, enduring oil filter problems the last 15 laps of the ASCS Midwest vs. Northern Plains A-main event. Sunday night, Little Wolf finished 14th from his 19th starting spot in the 360 division, as well as an 8th place finish from his 14th place starting spot in the 410 division.

Little Wolf races 410
This past weekend, Huset's Speedway saw a new face in the 410 sprint car division. The face was that of Robby Wolfgang, fresh off of his 17th birthday. Everyone in attendance was excited to see the Barstad Motorsports, Wolfweld, Great Bear Ski Valley #1a push off for the first set of 410 hot laps Sunday night. Wolfgang qualified 15th quick out of the 19 410s in the pit area, landing a pole position start for his heat race. Little Wolf put his #1a out front for laps 1-6 before being overtaken by Terry McCarl.
Robby says, "I didn't expect to qualify up front, but with the invert, it put me on the front row of my heat. All I did from there is raced my own race, and it put me in a transfer spot to the A main." Wolfgang started 9th in his first 410 A feature, which was slated for 25 laps around the high banked 1/4 mile. Unfortunately, Robby's night was cut short after he was collected in a lap 4 spin out by Gregg Bakker, resulting in minor front end damage. Loren Barstad, Barstad Motorsports team owner, said, "Robby was so close on Bakker on the restart, he just had no where to go when it happened. We will be out here next weekend. Our main focus with the 410 is to get more laps."
